“What does it mean to have a gun in hand?” (This question was asked in a survey of a group of gun owners who said their gun was in their pocket, right next to their wallet.) I believe we’re all at least a little bit self-aware. I can’t imagine a world without guns or anyone without a gun. It is true that they are a part of our everyday lives. Yet, they can’t hurt us.
When I think about the world without guns, I think of the horror that it would be. I could go on with illustrations of how guns are used to kill people without a shred of evidence.
The problem is, when we think of guns in the abstract, we automatically have to focus on what they do to us, and not how they might help us in the future. Unfortunately for those that do not have guns in their pocket, they might not be around to help anyone else.
Sure guns are scary, but we just don’t need them. They’ve been around for a very long time. We might even have guns in our pocket that we never use. In fact, most of the guns we use are not even needed. They just help us put down animals, and they help us kill those who do not deserve to die. We should not even be worrying about what guns might do to us in the future.
We should just be worried about what gun we are wearing, and what gun is in our hand that we might not even need.
So there you have it. We want to be able to stop bad guys and do bad things, and in order to do that, we should not need a gun in our hand. Let’s take a moment to thank gun manufacturers that put guns in the hands of people who want to do bad things.
The gun in our hand is not an indication that we are not dangerous. It is a sign that we are not just bad people who need a good gun to feel good. Guns are not toys; they are tools for evil. They need to be put into the hands of people who know what they are doing. They need to be treated and used with respect.
Guns need to be treated like real tools. They should not be treated like toys. People who will abuse a gun like that should be put into prison. But guns can be used as tools. Sometimes that means we need to be able to fire more than one bullet at a time. The gun in our hand is not an indication that we are a bad person with a gun. We are not bad people but we are also not good people. We just need to learn how to use it better.
The gun in your hand is not just about how much you can shoot. It’s also about how you use the gun. You should not be able to hide behind it or pick it up and throw it off course. You should be able to use it with a purpose.
The gun is a tool and we should use it to solve the problems we face. It is also a way of learning how to use it more effectively. We should not use it to hide our mistakes from the people who need to know.
